Total quantity or scope:
The works comprise the design and construction of a Primary School with.all associated infrastructure and external works. The primary school works will also have to include for a Nursery (70/70) and an ASN unit (20). The anticipated floor area of the complete building to be 4 000 m². The proposed site, which is subject to a statutory consultation process, is as shown (in red) on an attached sketch supplied with the PQQ. The site shall be fully developed to include external learning, play, sporting, social, sheltering facilities and associated soft landscaping as well as pedestrian and vehicular (including mini-bus) access, parking, delivery and drop-off areas. The School will be located in the East of Dunfermline. Form of Contract will be JCT98 Design and Build Scottish Edition. As per clause 8.8(f) of the Public Contract (Scotland) Regulations 2006, the estimated value of the contract includes design fees.
Estimated value excluding VAT: 9 000 000 GBP.

This period allows unsuccessful tenderers to seek further de-briefing from the contracting authority before the contract is entered into. Applicants have 2 working days from the notification of the award decision to request additional de-briefing and that information has been provided a minimum of 3 working days before the expiry of the standstill period. Such additional information should be requested from the address noted in point I.1) of the contract notice. If an appeal regarding the award of the contract has not been successfully resolved, The Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (SSI 2006 No. 1) provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rule to take action in the Sheriff Court or Court of session. Any such action must be brought promptly (generally within 3 months). Where a contract has not been entered into the court may order the setting aside of the award decision or order the Authority to amend any document and may award damages.
