Short description of the contract or purchase(s):
This group of companies will provide civil, mechanical and electrical construction services to Anglian Water's Operational Capital teams and to the AMP5 Capital Alliance. The Capital Alliance is a group of companies who work in partnership with Anglian Water to deliver the capital delivery programme.
This work will be across Water and Waste Water sites and infrastructure. It will not be necessary for all companies to cover all the requirements or geographical areas.

QUANTITY OR SCOPE OF THE CONTRACT
II.2.1)
Total quantity or scope:
As there are multiple skills associated with the delivery of this broad scope of work (which is anticipated to be 50 000 000 - 60 000 000 GBP per annum) and a large geographical area, we are seeking expressions of interest against skills and regions.
The scope is:
1. Infra and Non Infra (excluding mains laying and meter replacement for Water)
2. Investigatory works
3. Intrusive and compliance critical engineering work
4. Waste Water capital maintenance programme inc pumping station refurbishment
5. Project Management, optioneering, basic design and commissioning
6. Emergency response - reactive tasks of individual value of c.GBP3 k per task (Optional for Lots 1 and 2)
The lots are:
1. Civil Construction
2. MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation)
3. Sewer infrastructure (inc private 2011 onwards) This lot will include minor planned work e.g. manhole cover replacement and will require a 2 hour emergency response to site for emergencies (which account for circa 30 percent of this work.
The regional areas are:
A - Water, East.
B - Water, West.
C - Waste Water, Lincs.
D - Waste Water, Ruthamford.
E - Waste Water, Norfolk and Suffolk.
F - Waste Water, Essex and Cambs.
Individual jobs will be in 3 000 GBP - 250 000 GBP range. There may be occasional larger jobs.
The following areas of work are excluded from the Scope.
1. Small site civil work, locks etc.
2. M&E Operational Maintenance work
3. Pump Supply and direct pump exchanges
4. First call private sewer blockages
5. E@WR work
It should be noted that Anglian Water will not pay for travelling time or framework set up charges. Contracts will be based on the NEC suite.

Range: between 250 000 000 and 300 000 000 GBP.

The returned response will be assessed. Short-listed applicants will be invited to participate in one or more pre-qualification and selection processes through completion of a Request for Information document and/or face-to-face interviews. A select list of entities will follow as the result of a comprehensive evaluation process. The selected entities will then be invited to tender, leading to a further detailed assessment and negotiation stage. Predetermined scoring criteria will be utilised. Applicants shall provide details of a single point of contact including email address that will be used for further and future communications. All communications from interested applicants, including requests to participate and responses to the above questions, shall be by electronic mail as detailed in section l.1. Any dates quoted in this notice are for guidance only. Applicants should also be aware that the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations (TUPE) (or its European equivalent) may apply from delivery of previous work. Applicants should note that following the expression of interest stage Anglian Water may split the scope of this notice into several parallel tender processes.
