Frameworks South West (FSW) is the umbrella organisation for a number of housing associations (and their subsidiaries, where appropriate), all who provide quality affordable housing in Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.FSW is seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced and qualified contractors in order to establish a framework arrangement for the detailed design, construction, completion and commisioning of mixed-use housing developments. Work under the framework arrangement may also include the development of related community facilities on individual projects and contract works in relation to the refurbishment or conversion of existing housing stock.Contractors are asked to register their interest in bidding for works across three geographical areas: North Devon, South Devon and Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and in three different contract sum bandings (below £1.5 million GBP per project, between £1.5 million GBP and £3.0 million GBP and those projects with a value of £3.0 million GBP and above). Further details concerning the structure of the framework arrangement will be set out in the Tender Documents.Contractors will need to be experienced in relation to affordable housing new-build and regeneration schemes, working collaboratively with local residents and tenants and developing homes for sale. High standards of construction will be expected, and contractors will need to be able to demonstrate experience of using modern methods of construction or equivalent standards and "Code for Sustainable Homes" or equivalent principles. The works under the framework arrangement will cover the development programmes and projects of FSW members across Devon and Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and will be for a duration of four years from the date of appointment to the framework agreements, although contractors should note that call-offs under the framework agreements may naturally extend beyond this period, depending on the duration of the relevant construction time-tables.
