The key objective of this programme is to facilitate the integration of new refugees; defined as a person recognised under the 1951 UN Convention relating to the status of refugees and those granted Humanitarian Protection. The programme will make available a standard set of services to all new refugees wherever they live in the United Kingdom - enabling them to achieve their full potential, contribute to the community and exercise the rights and responsibilities that they share with other residents. The Refugee Integration and Employment Service will consist of three distinct but complimentary service components: an employment advice service; a mentoring service and a general advice and support service.
