QUANTITY OR SCOPE OF THE CONTRACT

Total quantity or scope:
A. Feltham Airparcs Leisure Centre
Improvement works to Feltham Airparcs Leisure Centre ro create an integrated leisure "Hub" including library facilities. The works comprise of the demolition and rebuilding of the single storey buildings to the front of the facility to form a new reception, cafeteria, library, multi purpose room, crèche and dry changing facilities. Within the rest of the facility at ground floor the conversion of a squash court to changing rooms, a gym into two studios, and female changing and crèche to a wet changing village. At first floor the existing offices and refreshment areas will be converted to a gymnasium. Externally there will be new flood lit tennis courts, some with temporary covers and multi use games areas, soft and hard landscaping and improvements to car parking areas.
Estimated cost excluding VAT: 5 600 000 GBP.
In addition there are Condition Survey Works to the remainder of the facility. Estimated cost excluding VAT: 700 000 GBP.
B Isleworth Recreation Centre and Isleworth Library.
Improvement Works to Isleworth Recreation Centre and Isleworth Library to create an integrated leisure "Hub".
The works comprise of the construction of a link between the Isleworth Recreation centre and Isleworth Library to form a reception area, offices, cafeteria, soft play area and crèche. The refurbishment of the library and the refurbishment of the existing Centre to form a new access walkway to the front of the building, new gym, two new studios, dry and wet changing facilities, the installation of glazing to the rear of the main pool and renewed roof coverings. Externally the existing games areas will be refurbished with new synthetic coverings, there will be soft and hard landscaping, improvements to car parking areas, and a new access to the park.
Estimated cost excluding VAT: 5 300 000 GBP.
In addition there are Condition Survey Works to the remainder of the facility. Estimated cost excluding VAT: 700 000 GBP.
C New Chiswick Pool.
The works comprise of the removal of the existing single storey roof, the construction of a second storey gym, the construction of ground floor dry changing with studio at first floor, the refurbishment of the wet changing village and the refurbishment of the existing gym and reception into a new reception, cafeteria and crèche. Externally there will be improvements to both soft and hard landscaping areas.
Estimated cost excluding VAT: 2 600 000 GBP.
In addition there are Condition Survey Works to the remainder of the facility. Estimated cost excluding VAT: 100 000 GBP.
The total value is estimated to be approximately 15 000 000 GBP. excluding VAT.
Due to commence on 31.8.2009 and expected to be completed by 28.5.2010.
Estimated value excluding VAT: 14 500 000 GBP.
