R&D Activities for the Service Evolution of the Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service (CMEMS).
The object of this contract is to conduct a series of scientific studies aiming at identifying and implementing, in different themes gathered in Lots (batches), innovations for improving the Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service future products and services.
Ocean Circulation Modelling, Mesoscale and Other Interactions, Ocean-Wave and Ocean-Ice Coupling
Studies aimed at improving the scientific quality of ocean circulation models, taking into account the different scales, variables and coupling required for the Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service.
Recourse to negotiated service agreements for the implementation of similar services to the contract is provided for in accordance with article 30 I 7 of Decree No 2016-360 of 25.3.2016 establishing the rules for contracts awarded by the awarding bodies referred to in article 10c of order No 2015-899 of 23.7.2015 concerning public procurement.

Studies aimed at improving the scientific quality of ocean data assimilative modelling for marine ecosystems and biogeochemistry, required for the Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service.
Interactions with the Coastal Ocean
Studies aimed at improving the interactions between the Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service and the coastal systems.
Ocean-Atmosphere Coupling, Reanalysis and Indicators, and Climate Change
Studies aimed at improving the coupled ocean/atmosphere models and the ocean climate variability description, for the Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service.
Cross-Cutting Developments on Observation, Assimilation and Product Quality Improvements
Studies aimed at improving cross-cutting methods and tools related to observations and their assimilation, management of big data sets, and product quality assessment for the Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service.
