Tyristrand Church, new stationary fire extinguishing and warning system — Revised competition.
Tyristrand Church is a timber church building erected in 1857 and is on the Directorate of Cultural Heritage's list of church buildings worthy of preservation.
A complete solution shall be established to guard against fire. This involves an external and internal extinguishing solution with the use of a sprinkler system. The solution shall be established with a new system for detection, warning and evacuation. The Warning system shall be connected to Ringerike Fire and Rescue Service.
The project's start date is 13.11.2017 and it shall be completed by 1.3.2018.
Contractual provisions: NS 8407 General Contract Provisions for turnkey contracts with the corrections stated in part II of the Tender Documentation, point B.2 Special contract provisions.

The project comprises fire protection of Cadastral Number 244 Title Number 128 Tyristrand Church belonging in Ringerike kommune in Buskerud fylke. Ringerike Church Council plans to construct a complete fire protection system, involving an internal and external extinguishing solution and installation of a complete fire warning and emergency lighting system.
Tyristrand Church is a longitudinal design church erected in 1857,and is a parish church in the densely populated area of Tyristrand in Ringerike kommune. The church is built of timber. The church has places for 400 people.
The church includes a nave. There is also a gallery with an organ in the back of the nave. Above the nave is a lot. Furthermore, the church has a choir with 2 associated sacristies, one on each side of the choir. The church has a porch and town in the entry, with toilet rooms on the one side and the christening sacristy on the opposite side.
The anticipated emergency response time for the Fire Brigade is given as 15 minutes.
Tyristrand Church is on the Directorate of Cultural Heritage's list of protected churches, and all work in the Tyristrand Church shall be coordinated and clarified with the Directorate for Cultural Heritage. The descriptions for the technical works are built up as function descriptions in which the contractor has project responsibility. This implies that the contractor is responsible for all quantities and has established themselves in the existing conditions.
The contractor shall give offers, and deliver a complete system that covers all function requirements and performance requirements in this description,as well as Norwegian regulations, standards and norms. The tender offer shall be given on the basis of this description, as well as the site inspection.
The contractor shall carry out all necessary review of their system to public authorities, and all charges shall be included.
The systems shall satisfy all relevant requirements in NS3420.
The installations shall be carried out with good craftsmanship in order to achieve good functions.
This description with associated drawings are only oriented for the contractor. The responsibility for complete engineering design with preparation of the necessary working drawings lies with the contractor.
The initiative shall be approved by the church authorities / the Directorate of Cultural Heritage before ordering.
The contractor shall assume the function of responsible applicant in accordance with the Planning and Building Act.
All of the system parts and components shall be tested before hand-over, all tests and measuring protocols shall be presented before hand-over.
The installations shall be delivered complete and functional in accordance with applicable laws and regulations — quality assurance completed — inclusive of engineering design, delivery, assembly, connection, cleaning, and function testing, check-out, adjustment, marked and documented.
Delays due to protective listing considerations may lead to extension of contract.
