Study on the Feasibility of Possible Initiatives at EU Level and Establishment of a Multi-stakeholder Platform on Quality of Tourism Accommodation
The purpose of this study is:
To substantiate our understanding of the existing public and private initiatives in the area of tourism accommodation classification
To examine the impact of these initiatives on the market.
To respond to the repetitive inquiries and requests by the European Parliament referring to the inconsistency of existing hotel classification schemes (star systems).
The place of performance of the tasks shall be the contractor's premises or any other place indicated in the tender, with the exception of the commission's premises.
In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the contractor will need to perform the following:
1) Analysis of status quo;
2) Consumer behavioural analysis;
3) Definition of the problem and the need for EU action;
4) Feasibility analysis;
5) Analysis of economic, environmental and social impacts;
6) Comparing and proposing implementation options;
7) Establishment of a multi-stakeholder cooperation platform.

An authorised representative of each tenderer may attend the opening of the bids.
