Sonstige Begründung: The Hydra Bio CX offered by FEI Europe BV has a combination of necessary features for our research that makes this system unique. These features are: • Multiple ion species (argon, oxygen, nitrogen, xenon) that provides unmatched flexibility for handling different materials and for different stages of material removal. • In-chamber integrated platinum target micro-sputter coater that does not require moving the sample to a separate compartment or flushing the chamber with argon to coat samples in pure platinum. • Integrated cooling system where a single liquid nitrogen source cools all necessary components, reducing time needed to prepare the system and providing a single point for refilling during multi-day runs. • Fluorescence microscope is fully integrated into the system hardware and software allowing for easy switching between imaging modes (light, electron, plasma ion) and registration of the images, including consistency and compatibility of the metadata. • Dual-mode magnetic immersion or field free electron optics with a resolution of 0.7 nm at 1 keV with beam deceleration. • A solid-state, retractable, directional backscatter detector that allows for sensitive imaging at low landing energies.
