Description: - Apoyar a las comunidades autónomas en la extinción de incendios forestales mediante el lanzamiento de agua y, en su caso, de aditivos retardantes, tanto en ataque inicial como en ataque ampliado. - Transportar a los componentes de las brigadas de refuerzo en incendios forestales (BRIF) que se indiquen o a otras brigadas, para participar en labores de extinción. - Lanzar agua sobre los incendios con el fin de apoyar al personal de tierra que participa en la extinción, retardando la ignición y disminuyendo la intensidad de los mismos. - Participar en otras misiones autorizadas por el MITECO, siempre y cuando se garantice el cumplimiento en todo momento de los requisitos normativos que, en su caso, fueran de aplicación.
