This study is integral to the annual assessment of eGovernment advancements, serving as a critical source for tracking the achievement of DDPP’s general objectives related to eGovernment services. More specifically, the eGovernment benchmark study allows to monitor two of the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the DDPP: the online provision of key public services to citizens and the online provision of key public services to businesses, as defined by the Implementing Decision that establishes key performance indicators to measure progress towards digital targets. This study will support the monitoring of the public sector digitalisation by executing the next comprehensive data collection, which shall ensure continuity and comparability with respect of the indicators with the ones published in the 2024 eGovernment Benchmark Report. The data and analysis shall be ready for the publication of the 2026 State of the Digital Decade Report, to be published by mid-2026.
