Other justification: Varaosien tulee olla teknisesti yhteensopiva Adour-moottorin kanssa. Hankittavien osien täysi yhteensopivuus olemassa olevien moottoreiden kanssa voidaan taata hankkimalla vain valmistajan hyväksymiä varaosia, sillä Adour-moottorin tekninen tuotevastuu on valmistajalla eikä valmistaja voi vastata Adour-moottorin kokonaisuudesta, mikäli moottoreissa käytettäisiin muita, valmistajan hyväksymättömiä tarvikevaraosia. Rolls Royce Plc omistaa hankittavien tuotteiden immateriaalioikeudet, eikä ole lisensoinut näiden valmistusta tai myyntiä kolmannelle osapuolelle, eikä näin ollen muilla toimittajilla ole oikeutta myydä tai toimittaa kyseisiä tuotteita. Tämän vuoksi hankinnan toteuttaminen on mahdollista vain yhdeltä, Rolls Royce Plc:ltä, yksinoikeuksien suojaamiseksi.
