Other justification: Steno Diabetes Center Copenhagen har igangværende forskningsprojekter baseret på instrumenter af fabrikatet Agilent. For at sikre datakonsistens og fortsat anvendelse af eksisterende metoder er det nødvendigt, at nyt udstyr er fuldt kompatibelt med de eksisterende metoder. De tekniske krav omfatter bl.a.: 1290 Infinity III Bio højhastighedspumpe og fleksibel pumpe med biokompatibel flowvej, tryk op til 1300 bar, specifikke blandingsfunktioner og tilhørende komponenter. 1290 Infinity III Bio Multisampler, termostat med flere søjler, bioventil og LC/MS 6495 iFunnel QQQ systemhardware. MassHunter software, analytisk tilpasset uddannelse og 5-årig serviceaftale. Disse krav kan kun opfyldes af Agilent, da udstyret er proprietært og integreret med eksisterende platforme og software. En udskiftning til andet fabrikat ville kræve omfattende ændringer af metoder, validering og dataanalyse, hvilket vil medføre betydelige omkostninger og forsinkelser i forskningen. Markedsundersøgelse viser, at ingen andre leverandører kan levere udstyr, der opfylder de nævnte tekniske krav og sikrer fuld kompatibilitet med eksisterende systemer.
