Sie besitzt, betreibt und unterhält dort, gemeinsam mit der Bergwacht Bayern (BWB), das Bergwachtzentrum für Sicherheit und Ausbildung (BW-ZSA), bei dem es sich um eine Simulations- und Trainingshalle aus dem Jahr 2007 handelt, die in den Jahren 2012-2016 zum Bayerischen Hubschrauber-Simulationszentrum ausgebaut wurde. Das BW-ZSA soll zu einem "Bayerischen Zentrum für Alpine Sicherheit" weiterentwickelt werden, um die Leistungsfähigkeit der ehrenamtlich organisierten Bergrettung in Bayern zu erhalten und die Zusammenarbeit mit allen Partnern in der Bergrettung und im Katastrophenschutz zu stärken. In einem zweiten Bauabschnitt müssen für die Ausbildung, das Trainingsmanagement, die Entwicklung und Logistik in der Bergrettung, sowie für das Einsatzwesen im Katastrophenschutz ein sachgerechtes, professionelles und zukunftsfähiges Arbeitsumfeld geschaffen werden.
