I.G.P.F. intenţionează să încheie un contract de achiziţie publică de produse ce presupune furnizarea de șalupe maritime de intervenție, în vederea suplimentării flotei IGPF, ce va permite desfășurarea misiunilor specifice de supraveghere și securizare a frontierei, în special a celei care este frontiera externă a Uniunii Europene, în vederea combaterii migraţiei ilegale, traficului de persoane şi a altor riscuri cu impact asupra securităţii.
