Title: Contratación de pólizas de seguros para la Universidad de Valladolid.
Description: Los Estatutos de la Universidad de Valladolid, en su art. 214.1 establecen que “incumbe a toda la comunidad universitaria la conservación y correcta utilización del patrimonio de la Universidad, y al Rector y a los restantes órganos de gobierno su protección y defensa jurídica”. En cumplimiento de esta obligación el órgano de contratación entiende que se deben de formalizar las pólizas de seguro que fueren necesarias para garantizar los daños materiales, destrucción o deterioro, que los bienes de la Universidad (inmuebles, muebles y equipos) puedan sufrir. Dentro de los bienes que utiliza la UVa se encuentran los vehículos, que tienen su particular régimen a efectos de cubrir los posibles daños y responsabilidades que se produzcan por su uso, por lo que se hace necesario contratar un seguro específico para ellos con el fin de cumplir con la obligación legal de tenerlos asegurados. También se considera necesaria la cobertura de los posibles accidentes que puedan sufrir los alumnos que realizan prácticas académicas, los alumnos que realizan el trabajo de fin de grado o máster en centros ajenos a la Universidad de Valladolid en virtud de convenios de colaboración, los alumnos que cursan estudios de títulos propios y los becarios y colaboradores, ante la eventual falta de protección en estas actividades.
