Title: Dunleer Town Festive Illuminations Project
Description: Project Description – Festive and Event Illuminations for Dunleer Town Dunleer Community Development Board is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced suppliers for the provision of festive and decorative illuminations for Dunleer, Co. Louth. The purpose of this project is to enhance the appearance and atmosphere of Dunleer town centre during the Christmas period and to develop a flexible lighting scheme that can also be used, where appropriate, to mark festivals, community celebrations, cultural events and other significant occasions throughout the year. The successful supplier will be expected to work collaboratively with Dunleer Town Team and relevant stakeholders to develop an attractive, high-quality and visually coherent illumination scheme appropriate to the scale, character and streetscape of Dunleer. The project may include the design, supply, installation, testing, maintenance, removal and storage of festive and decorative lighting, together with any associated infrastructure required for safe operation. Proposals may include, but are not limited to: * Over-street festive lighting and illuminated features; * Lighting for key streets, buildings, public spaces and focal points within the town; * Christmas trees and/or tree lighting; * Freestanding illuminated installations or decorative features; * Architectural or feature lighting; * Programmable or colour-changing LED lighting capable of being adapted for different events and occasions throughout the year; * Energy-efficient and low-consumption lighting solutions; * Associated cabling, fixings, timers, control equipment and electrical infrastructure; Particular consideration should be given to the visual quality of the proposed scheme, energy efficiency, durability, ease of maintenance, public safety and the ability to reuse or reconfigure elements of the lighting scheme over a number of years. The Town Team is particularly interested in creative proposals that establish a distinctive identity for Dunleer rather than relying solely on conventional Christmas decorations. Suppliers are encouraged to propose contemporary and innovative lighting solutions that complement the existing character of the town and create an attractive experience for residents, businesses and visitors. All proposed installations must comply with relevant Irish and European electrical and safety standards and with any requirements of Louth County Council, ESB Networks or other relevant statutory bodies. The successful supplier will be responsible for ensuring that installations are appropriately certified. Tenderers should provide details of their proposed approach, examples of comparable projects previously undertaken, proposed equipment and lighting specifications, indicative programme for installation and removal, maintenance arrangements, warranties where applicable, and a clear breakdown of costs. Where appropriate, suppliers should distinguish between equipment proposed for purchase and equipment proposed for seasonal hire or rental and identify any recurring annual costs associated with installation, maintenance, removal or storage. The overall objective is to establish a safe, attractive, sustainable and adaptable illumination scheme that enhances Dunleer during the Christmas season while providing opportunities to animate and celebrate the town at other key times throughout the year.
