Description: Im Rahmen der Generalsanierungen wird die Fahrbahnbreite auf 12,5 m adaptiert und so eine 4+0 Verkehrsführung während Baumaßnahmen zu ermögliche. Es werden jedoch keine kapazitätserhöhenden Maßnahmen umgesetzt. Am Knoten Linz werden bereits im Bestand Überlastungserscheinungen, welche zu deutlichen Rückstauungen auf die überregional bedeutende A 1 West Autobahn führen, beobachtet. Zur Erhöhung der Kapazität sowie zur Optimierung des Verkehrsflusses, insbesondere in den Spitzenstunden, und somit zur Sicherstellung einer adäquaten Verkehrsqualität, ist daher die Errichtung einer Pannenstreifenfreigabe (PSFG) im Abschnitt Knoten Linz bis Tunnel Bindermichl nach den Generalsanierungen geplant. Die Pannenstreifenfreigabe umfasst neben der baulichen Anpassung der Fahrbahn inkl. erforderlicher Brückenverbreiterungen insbesondere eine Erweiterung der elektromaschinellen Ausrüstung sowie die Installation einer modernen Verkehrssteuerung.
