WCM’s projecten kenmerken zich door technische innovatie en/of sociale innovatie en/of aandacht voor de ontwikkeling van human capital. Het merendeel van de WCM projecten is in de vorm van zogenaamde ‘fieldlab projecten’; praktijkgerichte projecten waarbij in een open innovatie setting van elkaar wordt geleerd. Dit vaak met deelnemers vanuit bedrijfsleven, scholen en kennisinstellingen. De inzet van de Werkpakketleider WP5 is gemiddeld 9 uur per week. Over de gehele looptijd is dat +/- 1.300 uur tot een maximumbedrag van €162.500,- . Voor de Projectontwikkelaar Pilots is de gemiddelde inzet 4 uur per week.
