Justification for the accelerated procedure: El Servicio de Prevención, Extinción de Incendios y Salvamento presta un servicio público esencial cuya eficacia depende, en gran medida, de la disponibilidad permanente de medios materiales adecuados, seguros y plenamente operativos. La antigüedad de parte de la flota actualmente en servicio incrementa el riesgo de averías, reduce la disponibilidad operativa de los vehículos y dificulta mantener los niveles de seguridad exigibles tanto para el personal interviniente como para la ciudadanía. Esta necesidad se ha visto intensificada por el incremento de los incendios forestales. Esta circunstancia hace necesario acelerar la renovación de dichos vehículos para asegurar que el Servicio mantiene, en todo momento, una capacidad de respuesta suficiente y unos medios materiales adecuados para atender las emergencias que puedan producirse en el Territorio Histórico.
