Title: Ondersteuning van lokaal verkeersveiligheidsbeleid in 4 percelen: - Advies - Studies - Ontwerp - Participatie
Description: Met het traject Verkeersveilige Gemeente wil de provincie Antwerpen het aantal verkeersslachtoffers zo snel mogelijk terugbrengen naar nul. Die ambitieuze doelstelling willen we samen met de lokale besturen en politiezones waarmaken door verkeersveiligheid hoog op de agenda te zetten en in elk mobiliteitsproject een verkeersveiligheidsreflex te stimuleren. Bijna alle lokale besturen nemen deel aan het traject Verkeersveilige Gemeente. De partners in dit begeleidingstraject zijn: • De Federale Diensten van de Gouverneur (FDG); • De Vlaamse Stichting Verkeerskunde (VSV); • Ouders van Verongelukte Kinderen - Save vzw (OVK). Met deze overheidsopdracht wil de provincie Antwerpen haar lokale besturen ondersteunen in het uittekenen en uitvoeren van hun lokaal verkeersveiligheidsbeleid om zo de Vlaamse doelstelling van 0 verkeersdoden in 2050 na te streven. Verkeersveiligheidsbeleid vergt een geïntegreerde en multidisciplinaire aanpak. Om de mogelijke noden van de lokale besturen en de provincies af te dekken is deze overheidsopdracht opgedeeld in 4 percelen: • Advies • Studies • Ontwerp • Participatie. Deze 4 percelen overkoepelen de vijf verkeersveiligheidspijlers (Engineering, Education, Enforcement, Encouragement en Evaluation). De lokale besturen en provincies hebben voor de uitvoering van lokaal verkeersveiligheidsbeleid nood aan: • een combinatie van uiteenlopende expertises (mobiliteit, gedragsbeïnvloeding, infrastructuur, handhaving, communicatie en evaluatie); • afstemming en het hanteren van verschillende methodieken om de diverse noden van lokale besturen en politiezones te kunnen invullen; • maatgerichte ondersteuningsvormen die enkel via overleg en iteratie kunnen worden verfijnd; • beheersing van inhoudelijke en organisatorische risico’s die voortvloeien uit samenwerking met meerdere actoren en beleidsniveaus.
