6. Results
Value of all contracts awarded in this notice: 168 000,00 EUR
Direct award:
Justification for direct award: The contract can be provided only by a particular economic operator because of an absence of competition for technical reasons
Other justification: The IIF offers an independent source of global economic and financial data and research providing a comprehensive assessment of the global outlook with a particular focus on key emerging economies and developments in international financial markets. IIF databases include annual macroeconomic and financial data, in particular on international capital flows, financial markets developments and indebtedness across key emerging markets, which can only be gathered thanks to the extensive coverage of the association. In addition, IIF's country specific analysis, which covers 30-40 emerging and frontier markets, features topical analysis of macroeconomic fundamentals, policy developments, political economy dynamics and risks. The IIF capital flows data (as reported in regular IIF publications such as 'Capital Flows to Emerging Market Economies Report', 'Capital Flows Tracker', 'Daily Flows and Flowa Alert') is unique in that it is the only available source for systematic real-time estimates of global capital flows. These data are indispensable for up-to-date analysis of short-term capital flow dynamics and are widely used and referenced in the press, the international financial community and forecasts by international and private institutions. The IIF's capital and portfolio flows databases cover annual, quarterly, monthly and daily frequencies and provide more timely updates than other traditional sources. Monthly EM Portfolio and Capital Flows databases cover 36 emerging markets and frontier markets and the data is released with 1 month delay. The data is proprietary to IIF and collected through IIF extensive network of private banks. IIF quarterly Global Debt Monitor database covers debt data for 31 emerging markets and FM Debt Data database covers 41 frontier markets. They extend (from 22 emerging markets) and update (by one quarter) the debt coverage data provided by the Bank of International Settlements (BIS). In addition, the Debt Monitor databases provide currency breakdown of sectoral debt, bond and syndicated loan redemption profiles, and the foreign ownership structure of local currency government bonds, not available from other sources. Other IIF databases and analytical products, such as the Global Macro Views, economic Views, Macro Notes, Weekly Insight, as well as regional and country-specific reports will usefully complement existing data and analytical sources. Given the growing importance of global capital flows and emerging market economies for global economic trends, access to these data is indispensable for our macroeconomic forecasts and for in-depth analysis of global financial stability risks and spill-overs from global financial markets on the EU and euro area economies.
