The Q-Exactive Focus is a benchtop quadrupole Orbitrap system based on the combination of Hyberbolic Quadrupole technology combined with Orbitrap analyzer technique, designed for routine/small molecules applications. Implementation of a Quadrupole mass filter in front of the Curved ion trap (C-Trap) allows for precursor ion selection and hence for MS/MS and SIM scan modes besides the ability of full MS mode. PRM and SIM are also implemented in possible scan modes. In addition the high sensitivity RF-lens ion source, with the implementation of enhanced FT transient processing, provides scan speed and resolving power. Q-Exactive Focus is a very robust and very sensitive benchtop quadrupole high resolution mass spectromere perfectly combining precise quantification and high performance qualitative work in the instrument. This instrument is an Orbitrap-based FT-MS system providing high resolution, high mass accuracy and high sensitivity at an affordable price.
