The Q-Exactive Focus is a benchtop quadrupole Orbitrap system based on the combination of Hyberbolic quadrupole technology combined with Orbitrap analyzer technique, designed for routine/small molecules applications. Implementation of a quadrupole mass filter in front of the curved ion trap (C-Trap) allows for precursor ion selection and hence for MS/MS and SIM scan modes besides the ability of full MS mode. PRM and SIM are also implemented in possible scan modes. In addition the high sensitivity RF-lens ion source, with the implementation of enhanced FT transient processing, provides scan speed and resolving power. Q-Exactive Focus is a very robust and very sensitive benchtop quadrupole high resolution mass spectromere perfectly combining precise quantification and high performance qualitative work in the instrument.
