The goods can be provided only by a particular tenderer for technical reasons. The mandatory requirements that are needed are described below:
In order to maintain our existing routine, trace-level analysis of organic micropollutants in different environmental matrices, an upgrade of our current LC-MS/MS (API 4000) instrumentation and associated software is needed. The current Windows 7-based system is no longer supported from Microsoft and the need for an upgrade of existing analytical software and hardware with minimal impact on the current business is therefore crucial. The economical, scientifically, result based and time-consuming effect is taken in consideration for this decision. The upgrade is a special service only applicable to current API customers. It will allow us to extend the same functioning aspects or facilities, including our developed analytical acquisition methods (e.g. MRM transitions of our target analytes (MS and MS/MS parameters)), continuously processing or quantifying our previously-acquired data by the Analyst software, and the operational skill of the instrument and data handling is unaffected. An upgrade of existing analytical software and hardware to the Windows 10 platform is expected too. The instrument must perform similar in regards of contamination with organic contaminants, particularly per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances. Since our research activities are very dependent on the previous results, all raw data, programs and integration files must be readable and ready for use in the new software. This means that the upgrade of the software should still allow us to process and quantify our previous or old Analyst-acquired raw data files at any time in order to maintain proper data management for our research work. The software must be backwards compatible with the existing Analyst software. All instruments connected to the system must be remotely controlled via the upgraded software of the vender. We need full compatible functioning parameters with our current status in this upgrade. It is not justified to develop new analytical methods and re-train our staff on the instrumental operation and data processing, which are highly time-consuming and costly. The expectation of the upgrade instrumental system and software is in the attachment.
