II.2.4)Description of the procurement:
The overall objective of the project is to explore the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based tools to search, extract and integrate data generated by New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) in EFSA chemical risk assessments through appropriate ‘proof of concept case studies’. The project is framed under three workpackages:
WP-1: Review the state of the art on AI approaches and tools already available and those under development;
WP-2: Explore chemicals/chemical groups of EFSA interest for which there are available data; select relevant case studies and execute the prioritised cases;
WP-3: Compile the experience achieved through the case studies in a repository of AI tools for NAMs, and propose recommendations for the implementation of the NAMs and AI roadmaps for action that are currently under development.
