Background:
In June 2013 the Government set out the allocation of European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF), including ESF money for the full 7 year period. The allocation was divided across LEP (Local Enterprise Partnership) areas in England, with funds being distributed and managed by the ESF Managing Authority (MA). LEPs have an advisory role and they documented their local/strategic needs in an ESIF Strategy.
Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly:
This Provision is voluntary and will aim to tackle worklessness amongst disadvantaged people. It will provide a package of tailored support targeted at priority groups and is expected to engage them, address their barriers to work and move them into sustained employment.
