Northern Ireland Electricity Limited (NIE) owns the regulated electricity transmission and distribution network in Northern Ireland and is responsible for the planning, development, construction and maintenance of the entire network, as well as the control and operation of the distribution network. NIE distributes electricity to approximately 850,000 customers across Northern Ireland.
NIE operates on a 24 hours a day, 365 days a year basis because of our emergency provision responsibilities and licence obligations.
The construction, maintenance and emergency repairs of NIE substations is carried out by NIE's Plant Maintenance Electricians. To assist with this workNIE wishes to procure the services of suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the provision of forklifts, telehandlers, and transport of equipment.
It is a vital part of this contract that plant can provided for use with or without an operator.
This work is completed at numerous sites across Northern Ireland.
