Oslo universitetssykehus HF (OUS) (Oslo University Hospital) will procure complete units for dosing of Nitrogen monoxide (NO gas) to OUS, divided into Rikshospitalet (the National Hospital) and Ullevål Hospital, where the payment model is operational leasing.

By complete units we mean medically approved system that includes dosing unit, necessary consumables, NO gas, training, service, repair and maintenance. There must be a marketing authorisation for offered NO gas in Norway at the Norwegian Medicines Agency.

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

The equipment offered must be able to be used on a patient for the treatment of pulmonary hypertension in emergency and semi-emergency phases as well as in connection with diagnostics. The patients are both adults, children and newborns.

There is a need for 17 complex units, some are based on estimates from current consumption with additional buffer to complete units. Today's consumption is around 250 patients annually and with around calculated consumption of NO gas of 1 000 litres at 800 ppm in 10 litre cylinders.

Description of options:

As an option, it must be expected that the number of complete units that must be deployed in OUS at any given time can be subject to up to a 25 % increase or decrease, which depends on OUS' need for patient treatment. Such increase or reduction will be carried out after notification from relevant OUS clinic leaders. The degree to which the hourly rate can be changed by an increase or decrease beyond 25 % is described in section 1 of the Contract document (Annex 2.1).

A contract will be entered into with a contract duration of two (2) years with an option for a further 1 year + 1 year (1 + 1). OUS has the unilateral right to extend the existing contract with up to two (2) years, with one (one) year at a time. See the contract document (Annex 2.1), paragraph 1. The total contract duration is 48 months.
