The European Commission, Directorate General for Communication Networks, Content and Technologies, (referred to as the Contracting authority) is launching this call for the selection of the entity that will be entrusted with the function of Registry of the .eu top-level domain (TLD) as defined by Regulation (EU) 2019/517. The successful applicant will be designated as the Registry of the .eu TLD and invited to enter into negotiation with the contracting authority with a view of signing the service concession contract for the administration, functioning and management of the .eu TLD by 12 October 2021, as provided by Article 19 (2) of Regulation (EU) 2019/517.

Read: This call for selection is governed by the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/1083 Supplementing Regulation (EU) 2019/517 of the European Parliament and of the Council by establishing the eligibility and selection criteria and the procedure for the designation of the Registry of the.eu top-level domain name, and complemented by the provisions of Regulation (EU, Euratom) 2018/1046 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 July 2018 on the financial rules applicable to the general budget of the Union (the Financial Regulation).
