VII.2.1)Description of the modifications
Nature and extent of the modifications (with indication of possible earlier changes to the contract):

The initially awarded ceiling under DIGIT-TM lot 2 of EUR 115 911 950,00 is increased by EUR 12 000 000,00, thus resulting in a new global ceiling under DIGIT-TM lot 2 of EUR 127 911 950,00.

Description of the circumstances which rendered the modification necessary and explanation of the unforeseen nature of these circumstances:

As the direct effect of the global coronavirus crisis and the need for the adoption of rapid technological evolutions and the subsequent new policy orientations, the overall expenditure ceiling may not be sufficient to cover the needs of the European Commission until the maximum possible end date of the framework contract.
