The contract envisages the production of a study comprising of:
— 6 national waste assessments, 1 for each of the western Balkan countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia). The assessment will include a presentation of the current situation in each of the countries in the waste sector and the respective roadmaps for improving waste management,
— a maximum of 30 compliance checks of selected national legislation against selected pieces of EU waste 'acquis',
— a study on the options for regional cooperation in the area of electrical and electronic waste management and their feasibility in practice,
— the implementation of 6 national workshops and 1 regional workshop for the exchange and dissemination of information based on the results of the national waste assessments and the study on the options for regional cooperation in the area of electrical and electronic waste management.

In line with Article 134.1(f) of the rules of application to the Financial Regulation No 966/2012 of 25.10.2012, during the 3 years following conclusion of the original contract, the contracting authority will be able to use the exceptional negotiated procedure for additional services (without prior publication of a contract notice) consisting in the repetition of similar services (up to a maximum of 50 % of the original contract value) entrusted to the economic operator awarded the initial contract by the same contracting authority.
NB: initial value of contract: 600 000 EUR–750 000 EUR.
