Invasive Alien Species: Improvement of Understanding and Communication
This project will pilot novel methods to prevent the introduction and spread of invasive alien species (IAS) in the EU, by
— identifying knowledge gaps, differences in understanding and perspectives and potential conflicts on IAS and their prevention among sectors and competent authorities, including through surveys,
— facilitating dialogue, improving the level of understanding in all directions, and enhancing cooperation among these sectors and competent authorities through the establishment and management of platforms,
— preparing IAS prevention campaigns to be implemented by these sectors and competent authorities, in order to improve the implementation of the IAS Regulation.

In line with Article 11.1(e) of the Annex to Regulation (EU, Euratom) 2018/1046 on the financial rules applicable to the general budget of the Union, for new services or works consisting in the repetition of similar services or works entrusted to the economic operator to which the same Contracting Authority awarded an original contract, provided that those services or works are in conformity with a basic project for which the original contract was awarded after publication of a Contract Notice, subject to the conditions set out in point 11.4.
