Phase 1: desktop study:

— produce background study of the potential UXO threats in the development area,

— provide a detailed risk assessment based on the seabed conditions as found by the cable route survey,

— provide a high-level description of possible mitigation activities that must be anticipated by the client,

— support 50Herz with technical documentation for compliance assurance with German law and its communications with authorities,

— provide technical specifications for possible UXO survey including technical scope and description of areas that need to be surveyed,

— provide technical instruction intended for UXO surveyor to process data and classify geophysical anomalies with respect to UXO potential.

Phase 2: UXO consultancy related to UXO survey execution and ad hoc consultancy:

— provide consultancy service to tendering process of UXO survey,

— participate in kick-off meeting with survey company. Minimum required participants are project manager and UXO consultant,

— evaluate the classification of the targets and advise on the need for inspection of targets. Preliminary classification to start during survey data acquisition,

— update overall cost optimisation strategy based on the results and propose changes for phase 3 if prudent,

— on the basis of the results from the survey company and in coordination with the client advice on the final route for the subsea cables. This includes recommendations on proposed clearance strategies and contingencies,

— provide support to the client in any matters relating to communication of UXO matters with stakeholders and authorities,

— Possibly provide support to the client in his dialogue with contractors.

Phase 3: UXO consultancy related to UXO clearance execution and ad hoc consultancy:

— provide consultancy service to tendering process of UXO Clearance including the optimisation and minimisation of clearance targets,

— participate in kick-off meeting with clearance company. Minimum required participants are Project manager and UXO consultant,

— provide representatives to monitor the clearance activities,

— provide support to the client in any matters relating to communication of UXO matters with stakeholders and authorities. Possibly provide support to the client in his dialogue with contractors.

— participate in kick-off meeting with Survey Company. Minimum required participants are Project manager and UXO Consultant,

— optional witnessing of calibration, field tests, data acquisition,

— evaluate the classification of the targets and advise on the need for inspection of targets. Preliminary classification to start during survey data acquisition,

— update overall cost optimisation strategy based on the results and propose changes for phase 3 if prudent,

— on the basis of the results from the survey company and in coordination with the client advice on the final route for the subsea cables. This includes recommendations on proposed clearance strategies and contingencies,

— provide support to the client in any matters relating to communication of UXO matters with stakeholders and authorities,

— possibly provide support to the client in his dialogue with contractors,

— take responsibility of data collection and reporting. Will establish and manage the a daily, weekly or monthly reporting requirements,

— manage the setup, data gathering and maintenance of a data management system (GIS environment) and make it available for the project,

— attend and manage all vessel and equipment audits relating to the UXO identification contractor,

— manage and maintain the UXO target list during works,

— coordination and attendance of works of UXO survey,

— analysis of all survey data and magnetometer data relating to the Works and drafting the final UXO target list,

— deliver input for cable routing. Stand off distances towards UXOs/anomalies which are not cleared.

Phase 3: UXO consultancy related to UXO clearance execution and ad hoc consultancy:

— provide consultancy service to tendering process of UXO clearance including the optimisation and minimisation of clearance targets,

— participate in kick-off meeting with clearance company. Minimum required participants are project manager and UXO consultant,

— provide representatives to monitor the clearance activities,

— provide support to the client in any matters relating to communication of UXO matters with stakeholders and authorities,

— possibly provide support to the client in his dialogue with contractors,

— manage the disposal of all targets and other cleared debris as local legislation for waste material both onshore and offshore,

— attend and manage all vessel and equipment audits relating to the UXO removal contractor,

— manage and maintain the UXO target list during works,

— leads the analysis of the measured data during Identification operations,

— coordination and attendance of works of UXO identification, removal and disposals (works),

— management of operations relating to the UXO identification and removal contractor,

— support the employer post UXO Identification during installation operations with the availability of UXO expert 24/7 in an advisory capacity.
