The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service Trust (NIAS) is embarking on a Trust wide project to develop electronic patient records; This project known as REACH (Regional Electronic Ambulance Communications Hub) seeks to provide an end to end solution for electronic patient records within an e-health and mobile environment with the patient at the centre. The solution will replace our paper based systems for patient records and communicate these records in a joined-up way with the wider health and social care system in Northern Ireland, to improve patient safety and care. At its sole discretion NIAS may elect to extend the contract up to 2 years made of of 2 periods of 12 months each which at the option of NIAS may be exercised separately or together. At its sole discretion NIAS may take up the option of a hardware refresh in year 6 of the contract.
