Stansted Airport is looking for a supplier/s to provide winter maintenance services at the airport for the winter season of the 1st November to the 31st March each year for a period of 5 years. The first winter season will be the 1st November 2016. The tender will be split into 3 Lots: Airside Framework for the Supply of Personnel, Airside Framework Agreement for the Supply of Equipment and Personnel and Landside Framework Agreement for the Supply of Equipment and Personnel. The chosen suppliers must be able to respond and attend the airport within the time-scales required, full details will be published in the PQQ.

The airport needs to remain operational throughout periods of bad weather during the winter season. The costs indicated are estimates as the costs can vary significantly depending on the severity of the winter season. The supplier/s will only be called to attend site in times of bad weather where de-icing, snow clearance and gritting is required.

1)Short description:
A framework agreement will be issued to a maximum of 3 suppliers to provide personnel to operate STN equipment as and when required. The services will be required to be performed airside and will cover: runway, taxi way, apron and stands snow clearing. At the beginning of each winter season STN will issue a work package to each supplier in the Framework to confirm the number of personnel required during a snow event.

Precise information on deadline(s) for lodging appeals: Manchester Airport Group (MAG), will incorporate a standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. That notification will provide full information on the award decision. The standstill period of 10 calendar days provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision prior to the contract being entered into.
