Bybanen [the Light Rail] in Bergen — Construction Phase 4 — Invitation to Attend a Market Day for Building Engineering Contracts
This prior information notice is an invitation to attend a market meeting for the contracts D13 Haukeland stop, D23 Shelters, D31 Carriage Hall and D34 technical installations at Haukeland for construction phase 4.
Meeting place: Bergen, the location will be given upon registration.
Date: 23.5.2019, 12:00 — 15:00.

D13 Haukeland Stop
In connection with Bybanen's stop at Haukeland, a concrete building will be built in the shaft at Haukelandsveien.
Blasting works for the shaft and rock halls will be executed in another contract.
The building must have high architectonic qualities, and interior works are part of contract D13.
The contract includes, amongst other things, the following:
— Haukeland Stop, constructive and interior,
— will be built from the platform at approx. contour 16 up to the entry at approx. contour 44 and 48
— the building will have a total height of approx. 40 metres,
— there will be one entry at Haukeland Hospital and one at Haraldsplass that are connected by an approx. 130 metre long pedestrian tunnel,
— the structure consists primarily of in-situ cast concrete, prefabricated elements and steel,
— the architect disciplines will, amongst other things, include masonry works, doors/windows, non-loadbearing walls, ceiling works, treatment of surfaces and facade works,
— the contract will include some ground works, Water and Sewage works, road works and landscape gardener,
— there will be individual contracts for technical disciplines, escalators and lifts (D13 will be the main business with coordinating responsibility),
— D13 will re-establish gangways over Haukelandsveien and complete the outdoor area against other landowners.
Contract D23 will procure shelters (steel and glass) and furnishing of Bybanen's eight new stops in BT4, bus shelters at Haukeland and Kristianborg, as well as a new public transport terminal at Oasen in Fyllingsdalen.
Bybanen's stops has the following elements:
— 12 x shelters for Bybanen, including information signs,
— 1 x free-standing information signs,
— 2 x “Information wall panels” with logo (for lift housing Kristianborg),
— 58 x benches,
— 13 x real-time posts,
— 27 x litter bins,
— 12 x manhole covers (for conduit shafts to information signs),
— 7 x shelters for bicycle parking.
— Haukeland: 2 x shelters with bench and litter bins,
— Kristianborg: 2 x shelters with benches and litter bins.
Public Transport Terminal, Oasen:
— preparation of bus shelters,
— shelters at the stop will be over 100 m long,
— consist of steel and approx. 1 200 m2 glass,
— will contain many of the same qualities as Bybanen's shelters,
— the stop itself will contain the following:
—— bicycle shelter,
—— free-standing benches,
—— real-time posts,
—— information boxes,
—— various equipment,
—— oasen public transport terminal,
—— bus shelter.
D31 Carriage Hall
The primary works consist of:
— service building construction and technical building works. all trades,
— furnishing of depots in rock halls. All construction and technical building works. All trades. Excluding blasting and securing of rock halls, blasting of Service building site, and rail engineering works. These works will be implemented in other contracts. Rail engineering disciplines will be carried out in parallel with the implementation of this contract,
— outdoor area in-front of the service building, with parking. All construction and technical building works. All trades. Excluding parts of the water and sewage installation, district heating extension, and electrical installations below ground that are performed in previous contracts.
Statement of the contract's approx. quantities:
— service building: surface area approx. GFA 680 m2 over 2 storeys including a room for technical installations,
— furnishing the depot:
—— carriage hall 1 has an area of 3 960 m2,
—— carriage hall 2 has an area of 3 090 m2,
—— service building: 1 180 m3,
—— carriage hall: 60 m3,
—— development of the outdoor areas: 1 400 m2.
D34 Technical Installations, Haukeland
This procurement includes a total technical contract at Haukeland stop, and primarily consists of:
— complete HVAC and sanitary installation including bottom pipelines,
— complete fire extinguishing system including gas extinguishing installation system,
— complete air treatment system including pressurisation and smoke ventilation,
— complete electro-technical installations,
—— lighting: emphasis is placed on the quality of the lighting installations for public areas, and focus on light design in the product selection, light quality and installation,
—— Nødstrøm’s system consists of 2 UPS’, that will ensure electricity supply to active fire measures, and take care of evacuation under unforeseen circumstances,
— complete automation system:
—— a central processing system will be installed for control of technical building installations. The facility will use autonomous sub-stations, linked together in a joint top system. Sub-stations will be placed in individual cupboards in technical areas.

The light rail project is part of the Environment Promise. The Environment Promise is a joint term for the city growth agreement and the city package in Bergen. The Environment Promise coordinates efforts on public transport, environmental improvements, road construction, foot and cycle paths and it shall ensure that the goals of a more environmentally friendly city development and transport system are reached. The project office Light Rail Development, which is directly under the county governor, will see to the county´s builder responsibilities. Light Rail Development is responsible for the engineering design services for and construction of the Light Rail and surrounding infrastructure and it will hand over a complete installation to the future owners. The track installation will be handed over to Bybanen AS, who, on behalf of Hordaland County, represents the owner and is responsible for track operations.
