II.2.4)Description of the procurement:
Donegal County Council is undertaking a joint pre-qualification and tender process to assess identify a contractor to undertake the construction of Greencastle Breakwater. The Greencastle Breakwater project is funded by the Donegal County Council. Submissions are sought from suitably experienced applicants who can demonstrate experience relevant to the required works and who can mobilise sufficient plant and labour resources to undertake and complete the project. Donegal County Council plans to prequalify the top five to seven ranked applicants. Suitability Assessment will be conducted on the basis of the criteria established in QW1 Suitability Assessment for Works Contractor and as PSCS and PSDP, Restricted Procedure for the principal civil engineering contractor. The proposed works to which this procurement relates includes; • Alterations to the existing breakwater • Construction of approximately 130m of new breakwater • Construction of reinforced concrete walkway and wave wall along the length of the entire breakwater • Installation of ducting, chambers, and lighting
