Uplift of Segregated/Unsegregated Waste for Processing and Diversion from Landfill
The Council requires the uplift of segregated/unsegregated waste for processing and diversion from landfill. The contract is broken down into 5 lots. Uplift may be required from various Council depots throughout the authority and the Ayrshire Roads Alliance area.
Lot 1: Soil and Rubble
Uplift of previously collected soil and rubble waste from Council depot for service provider to process and divert from landfill, approximately 2^700 tonnes per annum.
2 one-year extension options.
Lot 2: Timber
Uplift of previously collected Timber waste from Council depot for service provider to process and divert from landfill, approximately 2 300 tonnes per annum.
Lot 3: Tree Trunks
Uplift and process tree trunks(diseased and non-diseased) for service provider to process and divert from landfill, approximately 50 tonnes per annum.
Lot 4: Tyres
Uplift of previously collected tyres from Council depot for service provider to process and divert from landfill, approximately 280 tonnes per annum.
Lot 5: Carriageway and Footway Excavated Materials and Products
East Ayrshire and Ayrshire Roads Alliance depots within South Ayrshire.
Uplift of previously collected unsegregated carriageway and footway excavated materials and products from Council depots for service provider to process and divert from landfill, approximately 5 600 tonnes per annum.

Service provider must hold appropriate Waste Transfer Licenses — Waste Management Licensing (Scotland) Regulations 2011.

It should be noted that the deadline for expressions of interest is 12.00 noon on 16 June 2020 and the deadline for actual submission of tender is 12.00 noon on 19 June 2020.
