Newham are currently exploring the future remodelling of our Homecare Services and would like to take this opportunity to invite you to a number of market testing days.
We are eager to sustain the viability of the homecare market and meet the needs of our older population by engaging in an open dialogue with the market to find creative solutions that could foster a long-term contracting arrangement.
The Council's aspiration for a high quality homecare service is focused on breaking down the time and task and shifting the emphasis away from cost and onto quality. As such we wish to investigate the market's appetite for delivery of a new model in Newham which focuses on quality outcomes and supports personalisation.
Our aim is to work with providers to design services and establish outcomes defined by our customers' needs. The aim of this market testing exercise is to enable the Council to suitably shape its future aspirations for the provision of homecare.
We expect to seek to secure a range of homecare providers to deliver home care across Newham, with individual providers operating in geographical areas across the borough. This market test is intended to allow interested homecare providers with appropriate experience to outline their views and provide information with no commitment to themselves or the Council.
Two identical Provider sessions will be taking place to enable as many people to attend as possible. The sessions will be held on 6th and 7th August 2015 at Stratford Town Hall and we would like to invite providers to attend. This will give the opportunity for you to share in our commissioning ideas and market intentions for the future as well as providing feedback.
