The Contracting Authority are seeking to meet their respective obligations under the EU Procurement Regulations by the establishment of framework arrangements that aid the quick and efficient appointment of suitably skilled and qualified architects to undertake the design of a variety of different mixed-use housing new build development, refurbishment and improvement projects (each a Project) for the Contracting Authority.

II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:
The Contracting Authority are seeking to meet their respective obligations under the EU Procurement Regulations by the establishment of framework arrangements that aid the quick and efficient appointment of suitably skilled and qualified architects to undertake the design of a variety of different mixed-use housing new build development, refurbishment and improvement projects (each a Project) for the Contracting Authority.
The key output requirements are as follows:
Pre and post contract architect services which will include but not be limited to:
— feasibility studies and site appraisals including preliminary designs and consideration of local planning guidance,
— preparation, submission and progression of planning applications,
— preparation and provision of detailed design works,
— preparation and provision of tender and working drawings,
— participation in project delivery teams,
— responding to the government objectives for sustainable development.
The Framework Agreement is divided into 2 lots as follows:
Lot 1: Extra Care Architectural Services. This will comprise of schemes circa. 70 units.
Lot 2: Residential Architectural Services. This will comprise of mixed tenure schemes circa. 10 to 50 units.
Estimated value excluding VAT: 2 300 000 GBP

Options: yes
Description of these options: The estimated value is intended to be used as a guide only and is not a guarantee of the level of business that will be generated from the Framework Agreement. The Contracting Authority is not bound by this estimate and may buy more or less. There is no obligation for the Contracting Authority to place any call-off orders under the under the Framework Agreement. As an indication the Framework Agreement is expected to commence on 1.1.2016 and will be for a period of two (2) years until 31.12.2017, with the option to extend for up to a further two (2) years until 31.12.2019. There is no limit (within reason) to the duration of individual orders awarded under the Framework Agreement.
