Evaluation of Norwegian international climate and forest initiative's civil society support scheme
Norway’s International Climate and Forest Initiative (NICFI) has been in operation since 2008, with the aim of reducing carbon emissions from deforestation and forest degradation in developing countries. NICFI represent a central initiative within Norwegian development aid. Since the beginning of the initiative, approximately NOK 5.9 billion, has been allocated to, or through, civil society organisations. The main purpose of this evaluation is to provide the Ministry of Climate and Environment with information that can be used to adjust Norad’s management of the civil society support scheme, improve effectiveness of the ongoing implementation of the Civil Society Support Scheme (2021 -2025) and for planning future Civil Society Support Scheme (if decided).
