Each candidate who is a natural person and each natural person engaged in providing the services concerned must have attained the following minimal level of technical and professional capacity:
for the contract lots covering ΕΝ, FR, DE and ES languages:
— have successfully completed a suitable university course in Greek or Cypriot law at a Greek-speaking university in Greece or in Cyprus, evidenced by a law degree giving the right to register with the Bar Association in Greece or in Cyprus,
— perfect command of Greek,
— thorough knowledge of the source language (per contract lot) (C1 level at least).
For the contract lot covering ΙΤ language:
— have successfully completed a suitable university course in Greek or Cypriot law at a Greek-speaking university in Greece or in Cyprus, evidenced by a law degree giving the right to register with the Bar Association in Greece or in Cyprus, or in the absence thereof:
— legal training at postgraduate level of one year's duration at a Greek-speaking university in Greece or in Cyprus, evidenced by an equivalent degree, and additionally three years' professional experience in practising a legal profession in Greek, or
— legal training at postgraduate level of two years' duration at a Greek-speaking university in Greece or in Cyprus, evidenced by an equivalent degree, and additionally two years' professional experience in practising a legal profession in Greek, or
— legal training, at doctorate level, at a Greek-speaking university in Greece or in Cyprus, or
— four years' professional experience, after being registered with the Bar Association in Greece or in Cyprus, in practising a legal profession in Greek,
— perfect command of Greek,
— thorough knowledge of the source language (per contract lot) (C1 level at least).
For the contract lots covering ΝL and PL languages:
— university level training certified by a relevant degree,
— one year professional experience in the field of legal translation in the target language (Greek),
— perfect command of Greek,
— thorough knowledge of the source language (per contract lot) (C1 level at least).
For the contract lots covering NL and PL languages, university-level legal training will constitute an advantage.
Information and formalities needed to evaluate if these requirements are met:
For all the contract lots:
— copy of degrees or other supporting documents certifying a very good knowledge of the source language,
— information on the method of acquiring a perfect command of Greek,
— a detailed curriculum vitae, as well as
a) for the contract lots covering ΕΝ, FR, DE, ES languages:
— a copy of the university degree attesting to the required legal studies.
b) for the contract lot covering ΙΤ language:
— a copy of the university degree attesting to the required legal studies,
— copies of the documents or of other evidence certifying professional experience as a main selection criterion (e.g. a list of the main services provided, indicating clients and the nature, volume, value and time limits for the services, relevant invoices, service recipients' statements, etc.)
c) for the contract lots covering ΝL, PL languages:
— a copy of the university degree,
— copy of the documents covering at least one year’s professional experience in legal translation (e.g. a list of the main services provided, indicating clients and the nature, volume, value and time limits for the services, relevant invoices, service recipients' statements, etc.).
