De inhuur van surveillanten omvat het werven, instrueren, plannen en inzetten van surveillanten, inclusief het poolbeheer. Aanvulling met dezelfde werkzaamheden voor andere functiegebieden, zoals bijvoorbeeld congierges, is op termijn mogelijk.
De gemiddelde jaaromvang van alle inhuur van externen is ongeveer 5.000.000 euro, ca. 10% daarvan betreft de inhuur van surveillanten.
