The study will analyse the mechanisms that underpin the functioning of social media and how they influence the role and use of social media in our society. It will suggest options how to address challenges from social media grounded in this understanding. The objective is to collect existing evidence and expand the evidence on the precise nature of how social media and the social networks they create influence judgments, decisions and actions in society.
