The Norwegian Public Roads Administration Region West shall avalanche secure a section of the road between Lussand and Beggevik in Granvin herad.
The assignment is for engineering design services for and the construction of approx. 870 m main road in the open air (of which approx. 80 m bridge cast on site), tunnel (including portals) of approx. 1 565 m and electro and safety equipment in the tunnel. Total lot length approximately 2 435 m. There will be three breakdown bays in the tunnel and emergency stations every 125 m. The road will be built in sizing class H1 with road width of 8.5 m. The tunnel will be built in tunnel class B with profile T8.5 with concrete edge 90 cm over the shoulder, and have funnel shaped portals. Culvert at chainage 380 on the diversion road shall have a free height of 4.5 m
The rigging is proposed outside the tunnel at Beggevik as shown in the development plan.
The work also comprises operation of the facility, both electrical and road until the formal takeover is carried out (final deadline).

In brief the turnkey contract comprises:
Compete engineering design services and building plans according to the Norwegian Public Roads Administration's handbooks and other internal and external provisions derived from references in chapter A1 Document list, chapter C and chapter D. Comprehensive working drawings shall be prepared with associated static calculations for all construction parts, short circuits and selectivity calculations for the electrical installations. All drawings and descriptions will be presented for technical approval and safety approval by the Builder before the respective works begin.
All services and performances which are necessary for the execution of the road facility up until the finished and secured project, including electro works. All executions shall occur in accordance with SVV's handbooks or special descriptions in the tender documentation (chapter A1 Document list, chapter C and chapter D).
All control of materials and executions, including documentation, according to the requirements set out in the project documentation.
Engineering design documentation — scope of contract works.
The project builds on approved regulation plans with regulatory provisions, approved by Granvin herad 24.4.2013.
ADT2010 = approx. 900 vehicles/hour,
ADT2035 = approx. 1 200 vehicles/hour.
The ADT for other dates are based on an annual traffic increase of 2.5 %. The percentage of heavy traffic is set at 12-13 %.
The project will be implemented model-based.

Description of these options: Option tunnel T9.5.
Concerns increased cross section of the tunnel to T 9.5 including funnel shaped portals. The option also includes increased road width including ditches, necessary extensions to constructions and road developments for the first 200 m on the outside of each side of the tunnel, see the Drawing Booklet in the tender documentation C001-C004 for alternative T9.5. A decision will be made at the start-up meeting.
