Identification, assessment, sharing and dissemination of best practices for the humane management of invasive alien species
The objective of this project is to promote the uptake of the best practices for the humane management of invasive alien animals, through lethal or non-lethal measures, without compromising the objectives of Regulation (EU) Nº 1143/2014 on invasive alien species. The project will address in particular animal species included on the list of invasive alien species of Union concern (Commission Implementing Regulations (EU) 2016/1141 and 2017/1263).
It shall identify the existing effective management measures for invasive alien animals with a view to eradicate, control and / or contain their populations in order to minimise their impact on biodiversity, the related ecosystem services and where applicable, on human health or the economy. Measures shall be assessed in terms of their cost-effectiveness, how humane they are considered and other possible side-effects. The project shall also target the dissemination of the measures.
Open call for tender: Service contract. Single contract of 24 months (total budget 500 000 EUR).
The title published in the prior information notice was "Pilot project — Assessing, identifying, sharing and disseminating best practices for the humane management of invasive alien species" with a budget of 500 000 EUR.

Section VI: Complementary information
In line with Article 134.1.e) of the Rules of Application to the Financial Regulation Nº 2015/1929 of 28.10.2015, during the 3 years following conclusion of the original contract, the contracting authority will be able to use the negotiated procedure for additional services (without prior publication of a contract notice) for new services or works consisting in the repetition of similar services or works entrusted to the economic operator to which the same contracting authority awarded an original contract, provided that these services or works are in conformity with a basic project for which the original contract was awarded after publication of a contract notice, subject to the conditions set out in paragraph 4 of Article 134.

Such complaint does not have as an effect either to suspend the time-limit to launch an appeal or to open a new period for lodging an appeal.
Within 2 months of the notification of the award decision you may lodge an appeal to the body referred to in VI.4.1).
