NHS SBS are consulting on a proposal to tender for the provision of IT servers and software to support NHS Organisations to deliver server and software services to the NHS.
To help define and develop our national procurement strategy and help in the development of our service specification to meet the needs of NHS Organisations, NHS Shared Business Services are engaging with potential providers prior to the release of any official tender documents in the Journal of the European Union (OJEU).
The aim of this questionnaire is to notify the market of our future plans and to gauge interest in this opportunity with providers of full IT solutions, which provides full IT Infrastructure Servers and Storage Hardware, Networking, Virtualization, other services and end user and solutions software.

The aim of this questionnaire is to notify the market of our future plans and to gauge interest in this opportunity with providers of full IT solutions, which provides full IT infrastructure servers and storage hardware, networking, virtualization, other services and end user and solutions software.
Whilst the framework is looking for a full solution, please note that contracting authorities will be able to buy pieces of hardware and/or software as required through the framework. For example Contracting Authorities will be able to purchase new servers without the need to purchase other items.

Please note that this note is only a Prior Information Notice, and therefore NHS SBS reserve the right to amend or alter the lot structure according to further market research. NHS SBS also reserves the right to not publish a further OJEU notice with this area.
NHS SBS have asked suppliers to complete a short survey as part of our market research into this marketplace. Please note however that suppliers are not mandated to complete this questionnaire to bid or obtain a place on the framework.

Suppliers are also not mandated to formally express interest in this prior information notice in order to bid for this tender.
The value provided in Section II 1.5) is only an estimate. We cannot guarantee to successful suppliers any business through this Framework Agreement. Spend and volumes may vary throughout the life of the Framework Agreement from the anticipated levels given in this notice.
The framework will be for the benefit of Public sector bodies, including any statutory and other successor organisations to any of the foregoing and in addition any other commissioners (whether alone or jointly with any other organisation), providers and regulators of NHS funded (either in whole or in part) services including practice based commissioning consortia, general practice commissioning consortia, NHS England (and all sub national offices including anybody obtaining new membership to NHS Shared Business Services Ltd.
