Demolition Contractors’ Framework
Establishment of a framework of demolition contractors for execution of various demolition projects as part of the regeneration of a former iron and steel works on South Tees, and in connection with the redevelopment of Teesside International Airport.

The estimated expenditure through this framework is anticipated to be in the region of GBP 130 000 000, but it is possible that additional demolition projects could be added during the term of the framework, taking the total value potentially to GBP 150 000 000.
It is anticipated that the procurement will be divided into two lots:
Lot 1: large/complex demolition projects, generally (but not always) at or above GBP 750 000 in value; and
Lot 2: smaller/less complex projects, individually valued below GBP 750 000. No bidder will be able to be appointed to both lots.

Tenders and all supporting documents must be priced in sterling and all payments will be made in sterling.
Any resulting contract will be considered as made in England according to English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. All discussions will be in English.
The contracting authority does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender and reserves the right to cancel this procedure at any time.
The selection criteria will be provided in the selection questionnaire and the contract award criteria will be provided in the invitation to tender.
The contracting authority shall not be liable for any costs incurred by those expressing interest in or tendering for this opportunity.
Successful tenderers will be required to give undertakings that they will comply with all UK and EU legislation, standards and applicable guidance.
The framework may be utilised by South Tees Development Corporation as well as other related organisations, including Tees Valley Combined Authority, South Tees Developments Ltd, South Tees Site Company Ltd, South Tees Enterprise Ltd and Teesside International Airport Ltd, and any other group company of any of these organisations.
