A smart emergency call and receipt system. Market consultation (No 3556)
Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Clinikos (VULSK) identified the need for a smart emergency call and reception system. In order to inform market participants about the future procurement, we have published a pre-information notice in the Central Public Procurement Information System of the Republic of Lithuania and in the Official Journal of the European Union. This also triggers a prior market consultation on possible innovative solutions to meet this need, followed by formal procurement procedures.
The purchase of a smart call and receipt system is planned for the first half of 2022.
As part of this market consultation, we are involved in a pilot innovation procurement project aimed at improving the management of life-threatening emergencies in hospitals, which would lead to a better quality of treatment and patient disease solutions, and to increase staff awareness and expertise.
We are interested in ideas, information, new concepts that could respond to at least one or more of the functional requirements of the system:
An alert system in place 24/7 to inform the medical professionals concerned of the nature and location of the emergency situation and to direct them where their assistance is needed, minimising the delays in reaction time and preventing duplication of response,
A feedback mechanism on the response to emergency and emergency personnel,
—Aggregating and analysing emergency call and response data for continuous learning, improvement of the system and clinical practice, improved patient recovery outcomes and optimal use of staff resources and well-being.
VULSK is not the only hospital facing this situation. Our studies show that many hospitals in Lithuania and Europe have not yet put in place effective, informative and reliable emergency solutions.
During this market consultation, we invite potential suppliers and other interested market players to present their products and services, cooperate and help prepare for innovative procurement.
We welcome interest and suggestions from all potential suppliers – manufacturers, decision architects and designers, innovators, scientists and consultants.
More detailed information on the subject of the market consultation and the applicable requirements can be found in Lithuanian and English in the CVP IS system in the Procurement Documents section and on the VUL SK page.
